TU was Started by the government of Tamilnadu in the year 2002, by the TU act 2002. It was named on behalf of the Tamil poet “Thiruvalluvar”. The College was established on a beautiful 112 acres of land, it has a Library, Computer science Building, Hostels, academic building, and administrative blocks. It is 16 KM away from Vellore city. TU is a member of AIU ( Association of Indian Universities ). The main goal of the Institution is to provide better and advanced knowledge with a perfect focus on the social and economical development of students and people living near Cuddalore, Villupuram, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai Districts.
It has 124 colleges, affiliated to it with Vellore Jurisdiction. Provides graduate, postgraduate, M.Phil & Ph.D. courses. With that TU has 12(B) Status from University Grant Commission and it is accredited by B grade by NAAC in the year 2018. Go to the Main Portal https://www.tvu.edu.in/. After landing on the Home page, you will see many tabs according to faculty and Student Requirement. So hit on the admission tab. It will show you options for taking admissions into different courses. Hit on the Admission Procedure & Fee Structure. It will show you the admission procedure and Fee Structure for all courses. Click on the course that you want and download the application or fill online and submit it.
Every Year TU conducts Different Ph.D. course exams. The scores will be given after completing all Ph.D. Exams. The Ph.D. marks were updated on the official link given on this page. After scores, they have to apply for convocation and original Degree. The Original Degree is sent to Pupil's permanent Address. After a few days from the Ph.D. marks, it also offers Distance Education score Notification on the Portal. After checking marks, failed students have to apply for Supplementary Exam Notification or they can go for revaluation, recounting, and Revaluation by a challenge.
Revaluation Process Done by TU, pupils have to apply revaluation by paying some amount to the examination board. Students have to choose this option, if they have doubts or if they are not fulfilled by the semester grade given by the Institute Board. After that Notification is provided for Revaluation, students have to check this page regularly for TU Revaluation Notification & Details.
Recounting allows students to get better marks than in the past. If any pupil has a concern that, marks he got in the semester are not up to his expectation. A challenge for Students to Answer Sheets. If a student wants to challenge the college regarding his Answer sheet valuation done by the exam board. For this process, he has to pay some amount to the college. So that college will start the process of challenge. Here the College board will assign 3 faculty, to check his answer sheets. In this, if he gets more than 15% marks then the past semester. Then the Institute will pay the amount that he paid for the challenge. His latest semester grade status is updated in the portal.
