Staff Selection Commission Tier I exam is computer based test which is online. Candidates have to solve all the 100 questions in 60 minutes and for PWD candidates it will be extended by 20 minutes. Each question carries 2 marks and 1/2 will be deduced for eas wrong answer. Exam question will be covered from Reasoning Ability Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English Language.

Aspirants who are successful in SSSC CHSL Tier I exam will be called for next level which is Tier II exam. This test will be conducted in a Descriptive manner. Candidate's English or Hindi typing skills will be taken into account in this examination. questions will be asked from 10th standard concepts.
SSC CGL Tier II written test is Essay writing of 200 to 250 words and Letter or Application writing of 150 to 200 words. To be successful in Tier-II examination, Candidates should score a minimum mark of 33%.
Note: The total exam duration will be 60 minutes and 80 minutes for PWD candidates. The maximum number of marks attained is 100 marks.
The final test of SSC CHSL 102 is Tier III exam which is a skill test. Candidates who are successful in both Tier I and II exam will get selected for Tier III examination. It is nothing but Typing test.
Note: Skill test is conducted for Data Entry Operator and Typing test is for PA/ SA/ LDC/ other posts. Tier III exam is qualifying in nature only. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks scored in Tier I & II examinations only.
