SBI PO 2020 Eligibility Criteria 

The SBI PO requirements play a vital role to allow the candidates to complete the application form. You have to observe the entire requirements in official notification while going to apply for SBI PO. 

We provide the State Bank Of India probationary officer age limit, education qualification, nationality, along with SBI PO Eligibility for percentage in graduation, for ex-servicemen etc. Candidates have to submit the original documents related to the academics, age at the time of the interview. If the details specified in the application form are not matched with the proofs then you may be rejected at any stage from this recruitment. 

Candidates who wish to participate in this SBI PO Recruitment should meet the following conditions.

Nationality Details

  • Candidates must be a Citizen of India or
  • A subject of Nepal or
  • The subject of Bhutan or
  • Tibetan who came to India before 1st January 1962 to settle in India permanently
  • A person of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Pakistan, Burma, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Zaire, Zambia, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanent Indian citizen

Age As on 1st August 2020

  • The minimum age required to apply for SBI PO is 20 years and the maximum is 30 years
  • Candidates should not be born before 02nd August 1989 and not after 01st August 1999.

Age relaxation applicable as per reservation

  • 5 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe 
  • 3 years for Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) 
  • 10 years for Persons With Benchmark Disabilities as defined under “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016”
  • 5 years for Ex-Servicemen, ECOs, SSCOs,  5 years of military service experience, physical disability attributable to military service etc
  • 5 years for Persons ordinarily domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 and Persons affected by 1984 riots

Educational Requirements

  • Candidates should be a graduate from any recognized university or state level board approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies 
  • The results of your academics should be declared before  28th August 2020
  • SBI PO eligibility percentage in graduation is not mentioned in advt.

SBI PO Number Of Attempts

The SBI PO exam maximum number of attempts depends on the category of the candidate. The chances are counted from 18th April 2010. This maximum of chances will be counted for mains examination only. You can write the preliminary examination any time, there is no limit for the prelims exam.

  • 4 attempts for General candidates
  • 7 attempts for General PWD, OBC, OBC PWD candidates
  • There are no restriction for SC/SC PWD, ST/ ST PWD candidates
