Madhya Pradesh Police Recruitment

Introduction

Madhya Pradesh is the second-largest state by area and has more than 30% of the geographical area under forest cover. It is a landlocked state having many tribal communities and the state is bordered with the states of Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra,and Rajasthan. The maintenance of law and order is a mammoth task in this big state where many tribal communities and migrants are present. The Indian Police Service, and State Service Cadre were expanded with the time to meet the needs of the society. Moreover, the old Police Regulations were revised to ensure uniformity of police working throughout this big state. MP police play a pivotal role in maintaining law and order in the society and are mainly responsible for the peace in the state. Other  state governments that issue police recruitment notification that are popular are Bihar Police, Assam police, Andhra pradesh police, Tamil Nadu police, Rajasthan Police, Uttar Pradesh police, etc.

Positions

Sub Inspector (SI), Constable, Home guards, Assistance Sub-Inspector (ASI), Driver, Head Constable, are some of the important posts that come under the police department. Constables are frequently notified than other posts, by the department depending upon the requirement.

Eligibility

For Constables

  • Age – The age limitations are given below

           Men – 18 years to 28 years ,Women – 18 years to 28 years

  • Educational Qualification – The candidates must be 10/12th pass out from any recognized board or university.            
  • Physical Measurements
  • Height for male candidates – for OC/SC/OBC168cm & for ST candidates it is 160cm.
  • Height for female candidates –158 cm or higher.
  • Chest (male) – for OC/SC/OBC – 81 cm or higher & 86 cm or higher with expansion.

For ASI

Age limit for  Men – 18 years to 28 years ,Women – 18 years to 28 years

  • Educational qualification – The candidates must be 10/12th pass out from any recognized board or university. For candidates aspiring ASI post in radio dept, the candidates must have 3-year diploma in electronic and communication engineering

Physical Measurements

  • Height for male candidates – for OC/SC/OBC, 168 cm & for ST candidates it is 160 cm.
  • Height for female candidates –158 cm or higher.
  • Chest (male) – for OC/SC/OBC – 81 cm or higher & 86 cm or higher with expansion.

Application Procedure

Before application, candidates need to ensure their eligibility.

  • Candidates need to visit the official website www.vyapam.nic.in. or www.mponline.gov.in’
  • Navigate to recruitment button and apply online.
  • Candidates need to fill error free details and pay the prescribed fees before submission of the final application.

Selection Procedure

The selection process consists of Five steps, and the first two steps are qualifying in nature. The steps are listed below

  • (a) Physical Measurement
  • (b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • (c) Written Examination
  • (d) Interview/Viva-voce
  • (e) Medical examination

First, the candidate should have the required criteria of height and weight. Once the candidates clear the physical efficiency test they will be eligible to attend written examination. The interview will be the last step in the selection process. Candidates are selected based on their performance in written exam and interview. The selected candidates need to qualify in the medical examination to get qualified for the post.

There will be only one once chance given to the candidates for the participation in the event. The time taken by the candidates will be measured by using a stopwatch. The marks allotted for each event are listed below.

Written exam

After qualifying the physical test successfully, candidates should attend written exam. The exam is for 200 marks and the question are given form:

Interview/Viva voce

The number of candidates called for interview will be thrice the number of vacant posts. The interview boards assess the attitude, Mental strength, and personality of the candidates for their suitability to the job. The interview carries 50 marks.

Medical Examination

The qualified candidates must undergo a medical examination. During the medical examination, the medical professionals will check for deformities or impairment or diseases that can hamper the execution of the duties involved in the job.
