Karnataka Postal Service Recruitment

Introduction

Karnataka State Postal Circle was established by India post department in the state of Karnataka. The Circle is responsible for all the local courier services and deliveries in the state. India postal circle being the governing body for all the mail services in the country has established the local postal circles in all the states and their respective districts.

Positions

Department of Posts, Government of India, issues recruitment notification for various posts in based on requirement. Some of the posts for which the candidates are recruited are Postal Assistant, Postman, etc. Below are the generally listed posts during recruitment

Eligibility Criteria

Application Procedure

Before starting application candidates should carefully read the notification.

  •   First candidates need to visit the official web site www.indiapost.gov.in
  •   And navigate to “Recruitment” option then should fill the form error free
  •  The application form along with Xerox copies of entire certificates related to your proof of age, qualification, caste certificate etc., self-addressed envelope sized 9” X 4’ duly affixing postage stamp of Rs 40/- for outstation candidates and Rs.17/- for local candidates should be sent to the prescribed address through speed or registered post.
  • The envelope should be Super scribed as “Application for the Post of Postal/Sorting Assistant/ Postman / MTS in Karnataka Postal Circle”

Selection Procedure

The candidates are screened through written examination and interview. Candidates should clear the written examination first in order to get selected for interview.

Exam Pattern

Written Examination

The written examination consists of one paper of 100 marks. The time given will be two hours.

The pattern of the question paper is given below

  • Part-1: General Knowledge, Reasoning and Analytical Ability (25 marks)
  • Part-2: Mathematics (25 marks)
  • Part-3: (a) English Language (25 marks) (b) Telugu Language (25 marks)
