Jharkhand Teachers Eligibility Test

Introduction

Jharkhand Education Board conducts Teacher Eligibility Test for selecting candidates into Primary and Upper primary teacher posts. All the candidates who completed B.ed must qualify Teacher eligible Test to apply for the teaching positions in the state. Based on the TET scores, Jharkhand Academic Council selects the candidates for teaching positions. Other popular TET notifications are Chattisgarh TETKerala TETUP TETManipur TETBihar TET, etc. Interested candidates can visit the Drona.in website for updates on Government job recruitment notifications, syllabus, examination etc.,

Eligibility

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Educational Qualification
Primary Teacher 10+2 with at least 50% marks in two-year Elementary education / Special education / four years Bachelors in Elementary education.
Upper Primary Teacher Bachelors with 50% marks in two year diploma in Elementary education/ B.ed / One year Special education

Relaxation

Five percent marks will be relaxed for SC/ST candidates in minimum educational qualifications. Interested candidates appearing final year examination of B.ed can also apply for the Teacher Eligibility Test.

Application Procedure

  • Candidates must apply online for Jharkhand State Eligibility Test.
  • Visit the official website of Jharkhand Education Board.
  • Click on application form.
  • Fill appropriate details such as personal and professional.
  • Upload the required photograph and signature.
  • Submit application after signing the declaration.
  • Print the application for future use.

Candidates must secure 60% marks to qualify the test. The TET qualifying certificate will not ensure candidate’s appointment for the position. It adds 20% weightage in the recruitment process for teaching positions.
