IKEA India Mumbai is all set to give employment opportunities for more than 10000 people in the city of Mumbai in Merchandising , store operations, supply chain and allied assembly services. “Their idea of inclusion and equality are very much in line with Maharashtra government’s development initiatives,” said Rajesh Kumar, Principal Secretary, Labour Department, Maharashtra government in a conversation. The Store in Mumbai will create 5000 direct employment & other 5000 indirect employment in retail Sector . The store opening in India’ financial capital, Mumbai, is expected to run by 2019 and has created a wide scope for to hire people belonging from the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities . “We believe in equality and providing a balanced, safe and secure work environment for all employees. We are also open for recruiting from the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) communities,” Mansson said.
The Company is expected to invest Rs.5000 crore in the following years to generate employment in the field of retailing & E commerce Business .Samajwadi Party has signed MOU with IKEA to invest of about Rs 5000 crore to set up a store in Agra, Lucknow & Noida “We will have a unique IKEA in Mumbai. After the launch of the Navi Mumbai store, we will be available online. Customers may look at products from the store and then order online,” Mansson said.
