Haryana Police Department Recruitment

Introduction

Haryana police agency was formed in the year 1966 and Director General of Police heads the department. Haryana Staff Selection Commission conducts the Haryana Police Examination for recruiting police force into different departments. There are more than 7200 vacancies under the Haryana Police. Other important State police service notification are Punjab Police, Jharkhand PoliceBihar PoliceHP Police, Gujarat Police, Rajasthan Police, Uttarakhand Police, etc.

Application Procedure

Eligible candidates can apply online for the advertised posts by submitting an ‘Online application form’ which is already notified by the department.

  • Log on to the Official website i.e. http://haryanapoliceonline.gov.in/
  • Click on apply online and fill the details carefully.
  • After registering, a unique registration number and ID will be generated.
  • Save it for future use.
  • Upload your scanned photograph and signature.
  • Click on the link “Submit”.
  • Take the print out of the application form for future reference.

Selection Procedure

The mode of selection is conducted in four consecutive steps. Candidates selected in Step 1 must attend the next step of the selection mode and so on.

  • STEP 4 – Interview

Physical Screening Test

Candidates are required to finish the test even in given time –

Female 2.5 kms 15 minutes
Ex-Servicemen 2.5 kms 13 minutes

Knowledge Test

It is a paper of objective type with 100 questions and a total of 60 marks and the total time duration is 2 hours. The paper is in Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet form. There is a penalty of 0.15 marks for every wrong answer. The questions are asked from following categories –

The Interview is the last stage of the recruitment process in Haryana Police Department.

Exam Pattern

For the selection of deserving candidates from all the candidates, the Haryana Police Department conducts the examination in four consecutive steps.

Physical Screening Test

The first stage of selection procedure in Haryana Police Department examination is Physical Screening Test. Candidates are required to cover a certain distance in the given time. This is done to check the physical efficiency of the candidates.

Knowledge Test

It is a paper of objective type with 100 questions and a total of 60 marks. The paper is in Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet form. There is a penalty of 0.15 marks for every wrong answer. Good grip on Standard GK and current affairs can help in clearing the exam easily.

Physical Measurement Test
