Educational Qualification

Maharashtra Police Recruitment 2018 Notifications for Constable & SI Posts

Maharashtra is the third largest state in the country and has one of the largest police forces in the country. The Maharashtra Police is committed to the slogan of “Protecting the Righteous and Controlling & Annihilating the Evil”. Director General of Police heads the Maharashtra Police Department. Selection Procedure

For Constable

Recruitment is done in three stages and the candidates are required to pass all the three to qualify for the applied position. Following are the stages of the selection process:

Academic Merit Test

This exam will be based on 10th class board exam (maximum 100 marks) & 12th class board exam (maximum 200 marks). Hence, short listing will be done considering a maximum total of 300 marks.

Physical Efficiency Test

a) In a single chance, male candidates MUST complete a distance of 4.8 km in 27 minutes.
b) In a single chance, female candidates MUST complete a distance of 2.4 km in 16 minutes.

Document Verification & Medical Examination

Candidates who qualify the above tests are required to produce the certificates of educational qualification, caste, etc., and must undergo the medical examination.

Exam Pattern

Marks obtained in tenth standard board exam having a maximum weightage of 100 marks and 12th class board exam will be having a maximum 200 marks.

Physical Efficiency Test

  • Male candidates to complete 4.8 km run in 27 minutes

Document Verification

The candidates will be selected based on the total marks obtained in Physical Efficiency Test and the weightage marks obtained.

Medical Examination

Candidates who are shortlisted and whose records are found to be correct will be called for medical examination conducted by the Council.
