Employment Bank, West Bengal is a joint initiative by the Labour Department and the Information Technology Department.Employment bank has launched Yuvasree scheme which is a financial assistance scheme for the unemployed youth of West Bengal. The Government of West Bengal has launched the scheme known as Yuvasree Prakalpa Yojana in the year of 2013. Employment Bank is being monitored and implemented through the Directorate of Employment, West Bengal.Job seekers can enroll online. A temporary enrolment ID is created. The job seeker is then required to visit any Employment Exchange of the State for validation of the temporary ID. On validation, User-ID and password are sent to the job seekers through system-generated SMS.
He must be unemployed and resident of West Bengal
He should have enrolled in Employment Bank as Job seeker
He should have passed class VII
Only one member of family is eligible to get this scheme
Should be Between 18 to 45 years of age
Period & Quantum Assistance
The Candidate who is unemployed will be getting Rs.1500 per month to meet his daily expenses and also to take up skill development Classes
The Scheme will cover the Entire State of West Bengal
The Directorate of Employment through its network of Employment Exchanges used to act as the premier placement agency mainly for non-PSC vacancies arising in state Government establishments and undertakings
Skill Training for the Domestic Workers
Stipend of an amount Rs.100/- per trainee per day is provided.
Skill Development for the Workers in the Locked Out Industries
An amount of Rs.12, 000/- per worker (maximum) will be paid by the Government towards cost of training. The incumbent will not bear any portion of the course fee.
Special Coaching for the aspirants of the Defence jobs
Objective of the initiative is to enhance the placement rate of the youth of the State by providing guidance and training to the aspiring youth through Residential Training Camps of 5-days duration
