Climate will be More Extreme with Unusual Weather in 2017
World Meteorological organisation reported that the climate would be more extreme this year.
It also said that the weather would be unusual this year when compared with the previous years.
Images of Arctic sea in winter which are provided by the NASA and National Snow and Ice Data Centre showed alarming low levels of sea ice.
World Meteorological Organisation’s (WMO) our Planet’s sea-ice coverage reduced by more than four million square kilometres below the average in November month and Global sea level are is at record highs in 2016.
As per the UN weather agency, extreme weather and climatic conditions such as including Arctic “heatwaves”, will continue or increase in 2017.
Global temperatures are 1.1 degree Celsius above the average temperature of pre-industrial period.
Carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere are consistently breaking new records, and the influence of human activities on the climate system is more evident.
India built Hypersonic wind tunnel Indigenously
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) at Thiruvananthapuram had commissioned the world’s third-largest hypersonic wind tunnel.
This hypersonic wind tunnel can be still optimised to be used for space transportation systems.
In memory of Satish Dhawan, a noted scientist, at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) this one-meter Hypersonic Wind Tunnel and a one-meter Shock Tunnel, will be used to study the effects of air flowing past a solid object,
Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) is located at Thiruvananthapuram.
In the coming months, ISRO is planning to launch big missions viz., air-breathing propulsion systems, Two Stage To Orbit (TSTO) rockets, Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV), and also the human space flight programme in the near future.
