About Cluster University

The Cluster University was established in 2016 under the Srinagar and Jammu Cluster Universities Act, 201. It is a cluster of 5 colleges in Jammu city. The university came into existence on 1st March 2017, with the appointment of the 1st Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Anu Bhasin. As a collegiate university, its primary functions are divided between the schools of university & constituent colleges. It is a collegiate public state university, situated in Jammu in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir, India. The 1st academic session (2017-2018) commenced with 10 undergraduate (UG) courses, 8 postgraduate (PG) courses, and 8 integrated courses in various subjects.

The Cluster University includes 5 schools, namely Sciences, Social Sciences, Teacher Education and Engineering & Computer Technology, and Humanities and Liberal Arts. The university also includes 5 constituent colleges, namely Govt. MAM PG College, Jammu, Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College (as a lead college), Govt. S.P.M.R College of Commerce, Government College of Education Canal Road, and Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar. CLUJ currently offers 12 UG courses, 8 PG courses, and 12 integrated courses in various sciences, humanities, and commerce subjects.
