CISF Constable Tradesman Recruitment 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • For Gen/ UR Candidates: 18 to 23 years as on 01 Aug 2019. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02 Aug 1996 and later than 01 Aug 2001.

Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable to the reserved candidates as follows.

  • 05 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • 03 years for OBC candidates.

Educational Qualification

  • For skilled trades (i.e. Barber, Boot Maker, Cook, Carpenter, Electrician, Mason, Mali, Painter, Plumber and Washer Man): Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board. Industrial Training Institute trained personnel will be preferred.
  • For unskilled trades (i.e. Sweeper): Matriculation or it’s equivalent from a recognized board.

Physical Standards

For UR, SC, EWS and OBC candidates

  • Height: 170 Cm
  • Chest: 80 Cm + 05 Cm Expansion

The candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh&Ladhakh regions of J & K

  • Height: 165 Cm
  • Chest: 78 Cm + 05 Cm Expansion

All candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes

  • Height: 162.5 Cm
  • Chest: 76 Cm + 05 Cm Expansion.

Weight

  • Weight will be recorded at the time of physical measurement but the decision on fitness on account of weight will be taken at the time of medical examination.

EyeSight

  • The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction (without wearing of glasses).
  • Candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, a squint in eyes and they should possess high color vision.
  • He must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
