BPSSC Assistant Superintendent Jail Exam Pattern

Bihar Police SI Exam consists of two different phases i.e, Preliminary and Mains Examination. The exam is objective in nature.

 Bihar Police Prelims SI Exam Pattern

  • Bihar Police SI Preliminary Exam comprises 100 questions for 200 marks
  • The time duration of the prelims exam is two hours
  • For each and every wrong answer, there is a negative marking of 0.2 marks

BPSSC Sub Inspector Mains Exam Pattern

  • BPSSC SI Mains exam consists of two papers – Paper -I & Paper- II
  • Paper-I consists of 100 questions for 200 marks
  • Paper-II comprises 100 questions for 200 marks
  • For Paper-I, questions are asked from General Hindi and for Paper-II, the questions are asked in Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics General Studies, General Science, Civics, and Mental Ability
  • For each and every wrong answer, there is a negative marking of 0.2 marks
  • The duration of the exam is 2 hours

Bihar Police SI Qualifying Marks

Candidates who score less than 30% will be disqualified. The minimum qualifying marks in the mains examination is different for various categories as follows:

  • For SC/ST & Female Candidates – 32%
  • Extremely Backward Class (EBC) Candidates – 34%
  • For Backward Class (BC) Candidates – 36.5%
  • For General Category Candidates – 40%
